Having an easy morning with room for brunch time? For us, dinner should not be the only meal that’s special, so we created this list to share our favorite brunch spots in Chania that you will surely enjoy.
1. Ginger Concept

This modern bistro serves brunch in a narrow street in the old town of Chania. From beautifully-presented food to a bohemian-chic interior, this place has been well-loved by both locals and tourists since its opening. Dishes are fresh, creative and delicious with gluten-free and vegan options available. They also offer interesting smoothies and cocktails, perfect for a sunny day. This instagram-worthy hidden gem is not to be missed if you want a nice rewarding brunch.
2. Woodstock Restaurant
2, Akti Papanikoli 1, Chania 731 31, Greece
Want a break from the Old Town? Perhaps a seaview? Standing along the coastal pavement at Nea Chora, Woodstock is idyllic if you want to have brunch with a delightful view. The place is nicely decorated in appropriate balance with the view. They also open early in the morning with a great selection of coffee. All dishes are based on Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine mixed with well-known brunch selections, all made with locally-sourced ingredients.
3. Phyllo Breakfast and Brunch

A local’s favorite in the heart of Chania, Phyllo is well-known for its delectable brunch that boost creativity and flavor. All products are handmade and fresh with quality Greek ingredients. If you choose to dine inside, you could have a full view of the kitchen. Attention to details is apparent from preparation to presentation, you could tell that there is love put into the dishes. They also offer ready-made pastries which are ideal for on-the-go. This is probably the best brunch spot in Chania so it’s well worth the long waiting time. On the side note, their french toast and V8 omelet is worth a try.
4. Feidias Cafe Bar
Eleftherias 2, Chania 731 00, Greece
Sitting at Dikastiria Square, this spot is amongst the favorites of locals for brunch, and a usual local coffee meeting spot. One could find little to none tourists here, so it’s perfect for a more relaxed atmosphere. Feidias is open all day, and their coffee is indeed a must-try. At night, this place turns into a bar with an array of cocktails to choose from.
5. Nais Cafe
Akti Miaouli 19, Chania 731 00, Greece
Curious about Cretan breakfast? If you would like to try a simple local breakfast, stop by Nais Cafe. They serve brunch with a sea view and the dishes feel homemade, giving an authentic taste. The atmosphere is nothing overwhelming but overall cosy. The service is kind and friendly, making the experience a breeze. It is also an easy walk from the Venetian Harbour but in a quieter street.
